hi all. as we in the UK head for yet another general election, it is said that our current prime minister, tony blair, has not done much for the domestic voter, rather prefering to concentrate on cosieing up with george bush. any thoughts?

Dobbin
His record is abyssmal and hopefully the election result will reflect that

The NHS for 1 is in a dire state with filthy hospitals an increase in waiting lists ect

he's done little to improve the lives of those most in need if anything the situation has worsened

his friendship with Bush sicken's me along with his arrogance towards the protesters while justifying the war is tantamount to meglomania.

no doubt Blair will be able to justify the blood on his hands and none more so than in the terrible case of
Mr Bigley held captive in Iraq.
He seems content to let this man die rather than negotiate with terrorists
is there any difference between them and blair.

if he's dead against negotiating with terrorists, why did he negotiate with shinne feign, *forgive my spelling* weren't they the political wing of a terrorist organisation? It seems to me that, as you say, blair can't give a fuck about mr biggly. The worst thing is, we don't hold any iraqy women prisoners, only the americans do. it seems that mr blair is destined to let this inocent man die for his own selfish political ends. and can someone please tell me waht the diffrence is between responding with the terrorists and negotiating with them? why respond to them, as blair says he will do, if he doesn't want to negotiate with them?

he negotiated with Sinn Fien as Thatcher had for years

in the hope of cutting a deal with i think it involved the yanks to
give N.I a large bribe sorry investment
the deal was you agree to cease all terrorist activities
immediately in Ireland and britain and we will invest millions of pounds & dollars ect in your country

And lo hasn't Ireland prospered.smile

Dobbin he has begun negotiations with the terrorists and we shall see what happens i suspect this is nothing more than a election ploy as is the admission that the info on Iraq was flawed.

However one thing is clear blair has all the integrity of a cornered rat!.
